<br />
Yesterday was a very busy and full on day at uni! Gina was working on the sound while me and Rebecca were chopping the bits of video and putting them together. It needs lots of more work to be done on it and this is only half of the narrative.<br />
Some of the feedback (that I can remember) was:<br />
-The sound can be a bit overpowering<br />
-In the beginning, the sound is overpowering but once you get into the story the visuals are very strong and they take over<br />
-The presentation was interesting (we projected it on a semi-transparent material) and made it look like a performance piece<br />

<br />
Things I learned during this project:<br />
*How to edit videos in Quick time 7.<br />
*How to combine Photoshop, Quick Time and iMovie going back and forth to create an animation.<br />
*You can get software that tells you to <a href="http://www.dejal.com/timeout/">have a break</a> every hour.<br />
*How to download youtube videos and combine them with animation in Photoshop<br />
*Relaxing music is very beneficial when it comes to repetitive tasks<br />
*Having 20 files with similar names in the same folder is a bad idea<br />
*Always. (I repeat) Always save a .psd file with all layers of an animation edited in Photoshop<br />
*I learned that 45 seconds is a long time..<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Anyway this is the final version of my animation (for now) and I’m quite happy with it even thought it doesn’t follow my initial script.<br />
I tried to look at ways for Rebekah Brooks to be the victim of phone hacking and this time the celebrity (Hugh Grant) is the one trying to invade her private life by inserting a hidden camera in her house and then “hacking” her phone.<br />
The animation is meant to be in the same style as FoneJacker (hence the cut out mouths) and hopefully the viewer will find it funny.<br />
Enjoy!<br />
(….finally sleep time for me)</div>Antoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-78727331387988600402011-06-05T22:52:00.000+01:002011-06-05T22:52:09.862+01:00Semester 2 work<div><embed src="http://static.issuu.com/webembed/viewers/style1/v1/IssuuViewer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" menu="false" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" flashvars="mode=embed&layout=http%3A%2F%2Fskin.issuu.com%2Fv%2Fcolor%2Flayout.xml&backgroundColor=ffffff&showFlipBtn=true&documentId=110526143534-cdff1e08f6d14d8f9495688e7d3325d9&docName=sem2&username=AntoniyaKuneva&loadingInfoText=Semester%202%20studio%20practice&et=1307310469823&er=3" style="width:420px;height:297px" name="flashticker" align="middle"></embed><div style="width:420px;text-align:left;"><a href="http://issuu.com/AntoniyaKuneva/docs/sem2?mode=embed&layout=http%3A%2F%2Fskin.issuu.com%2Fv%2Fcolor%2Flayout.xml&backgroundColor=ffffff&showFlipBtn=true" target="_blank">Open publication</a> - Free <a href="http://issuu.com" target="_blank">publishing</a> - <a href="http://issuu.com/search?q=portfolio" target="_blank">More portfolio</a></div></div><div><embed src="http://static.issuu.com/webembed/viewers/style1/v1/IssuuViewer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" menu="false" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" flashvars="mode=embed&layout=http%3A%2F%2Fskin.issuu.com%2Fv%2Fcolor%2Flayout.xml&backgroundColor=ffffff&showFlipBtn=true&documentId=110526143319-70de144f861747f48bf7dd92f089cc77&docName=password_ind&username=AntoniyaKuneva&loadingInfoText=Independent%20practice%20semeseter%202&et=1307310705642&er=2" style="width:420px;height:297px" name="flashticker" align="middle"></embed><div style="width:420px;text-align:left;"><a href="http://issuu.com/AntoniyaKuneva/docs/password_ind?mode=embed&layout=http%3A%2F%2Fskin.issuu.com%2Fv%2Fcolor%2Flayout.xml&backgroundColor=ffffff&showFlipBtn=true" target="_blank">Open publication</a> - Free <a href="http://issuu.com" target="_blank">publishing</a> - <a href="http://issuu.com/search?q=independent" target="_blank">More independent</a></div></div>Antoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-14678682084857484712011-05-19T00:25:00.000+01:002011-05-19T00:25:49.514+01:00Busy.Lab.Final portfolio work.Can't wait until the summer!<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/antonia333/5713754019/" title="IMG_5454 by antonia333, on Flickr"><img alt="IMG_5454" height="266" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2549/5713754019_d1eedd9527.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />

It's been over a week now since I moved here. Last week I had a pre-entry course for 3 days and one of the tasks we had, was to make some sort of presentation showing the connection between a word (my group's word was 'Spiritual') and Epsom.<br />
We found it really hard because we didn't want to go for the obvious solutions but at the same time there wasn't much going on in the city and so we got really stuck half way through.. We then decided that if we can't find anything spiritual then the best thing we can do is actually make our own marks and hidden messages. This is one of the videos we made in the park outside the university:<br />

I'd like to start working on a project soon but I'm going to have to wait until mid-September when university starts.<br />
Last week I really got into making 'Dream Catchers', they are quite popular in Brighton at the moment and I wanted to make my own version of the traditional ones. I used beads and lots of sparkly stars instead of leather and feathers..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/THvO2XzacEI/AAAAAAAAAZc/cmIGfLsVgFk/s1600/dreamcatchers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/THvO2XzacEI/AAAAAAAAAZc/cmIGfLsVgFk/s320/dreamcatchers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
The one in the left is mine, the middle one is for a friend and the last one I gave to my mother :)Antoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-18573402408751692662010-08-16T18:55:00.005+01:002010-08-17T01:20:01.534+01:00AnimationRight, I decided to make an animation a while ago and started it but then i got the new version of Photoshop (SC5) and its not the "Extended" one so I couldn't edit videos the same way and that put me off... and then... anyway I've literally got 10sec of animation so far and no storyline whatsoever and also I'm starting to hate the whole idea altogether!<br />
<br />
I dont know what to do with it... but one think I'm planning to do is to re-install the PS3 Extended again as maybe I will use it at university for video editing.<br />
Yeah.. that is it.<br />

Went to see Inception twice and loved every bit of it! :)<br />
<br />
This weekend I had Saturday and Sunday off work and the Brighton Pride parade was on which was perfect timing as a couple of friends from Canada came to visit me (they are sadly leaving tomorrow morning..).<br />
They arrived on Saturday morning so I went to pick them up from the airport and then went straight to Preston park to check it out :) It was my first ever Pride as I'm usually working over the weekend so I was extremely excited and it was so much fun, everyone had dressed up wearing crazy clothes and make-up etc and me and my friends put glitter on our cheeks :D<br />
<br />
We went out in the evening so I showed them what Brighton's night life is and had an awesome time again.<br />
The morning after (yesterday) we decided to go to the seafront and have lunch there and afterwards we went <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/">Geocaching</a>! I had no idea what that is before they introduced me to it but now I'm definitely hooked :DAntoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-28352854836118981712010-07-17T11:45:00.001+01:002010-12-30T15:06:47.387+00:00moleskine husky<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/antonia333/4805518025/" title="Indian husky by antonia333, on Flickr"><img alt="Indian husky" height="400" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100/4805518025_eeb99d95ba_b.jpg" width="282" /></a><br />

Hah<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/TDXU8ncGKiI/AAAAAAAAAWI/gsnMn211Kzk/s1600/Panorama1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/TDXU8ncGKiI/AAAAAAAAAWI/gsnMn211Kzk/s320/Panorama1.jpg" width="164" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The story behind this painting is that one of the tasks in Life drawing we had (during A levels) was to look at a portrait and try to recreate it as accurately as we can.. but yeah it was a self portrait of the artist and I forgot to write down his name so thats going to keep bugging me for the rest of my life..<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Anyways I made this digital collage today :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

Going to meet up with some people from Foundation on Thursday so that should be nice :)<br />
House hunting is a bit slow at the moment but I'm working on it..<br />
Here's some quick experiments I did the other day.<br />
<br />

It's not my first ever show because I had one at the end of my Graphics A Level but this one is at a much higher quality and scale..<br />
But I feel so ill... have a horrible cold and did not get to make the most of the viewing.. everyone is going out to celebrate tonight and I'm going to bed!<br />
It's also a shame that this private view clashes with Epsom's grad show exhibition so I can't go even though I got an invite :/<br />
<br />
Anyway here are some photos of my exhibition space:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/antonia333/4703922706/" title="exhibition by antonia333, on Flickr"><img alt="exhibition" height="240" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4067/4703922706_c5fd47292a.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/TBe6oX7vIwI/AAAAAAAAAVo/E5Dx__Ht59I/s1600/poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/TBe6oX7vIwI/AAAAAAAAAVo/E5Dx__Ht59I/s200/poster.jpg" width="150" /></a>I think I could have definitely done better but didn't have enough time.. I missed about a week of college in the beginning of the FMP and never really managed to catch up completely. I just feel like there is something missing :/Antoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-86881021272010208702010-05-22T19:44:00.000+01:002010-05-22T19:46:24.183+01:00HummingbirdBeen playing around with that pattern of mine and experimented by dying white thread using felt tip pens, its so easy and convenient! I used the colours of the rainbow here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/antonia333/4629920502/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="hummingbird by antonia333, on Flickr"><img alt="hummingbird" height="400" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4069/4629920502_a0577688a3.jpg" width="290" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">I'm a bit stuck at the moment.. dont know what I'm doing :( and I can't go into college to talk to tutors as the studios are being used for the exhibition...not long left anyway..</div><div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">I also tried to tea-stain an old letter but that was an epic fail too haha I know how to do it properly now and might try again :)</div>Antoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-17016760655902379552010-05-21T19:33:00.001+01:002010-07-11T21:29:13.815+01:00StitchingIn the last couple of days I've been experimenting with paper embroidery making different geometric shapes and I looked at <a href="http://evelinkasikov.com/">Evelin Kasikov</a>'s work and I also found an artist called <a href="http://www.rebeccasward.com/installations.html">Rebecca Ward</a>, she uses electric tape in her installations and makes all of these really complex shapes using them..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_bROZ98gHI/AAAAAAAAAUU/hun1OGnIbKs/s1600/sbook1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_bROZ98gHI/AAAAAAAAAUU/hun1OGnIbKs/s200/sbook1.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_bRXJBzeGI/AAAAAAAAAUc/zuuusUSAXoY/s1600/sbook2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_bRXJBzeGI/AAAAAAAAAUc/zuuusUSAXoY/s200/sbook2.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><br />
Anyway, I started off by trying to add a twist to one of my photographs but then kept experimenting using the thread and needle instead.. I made some really interesting shapes that I thought would make a nice pattern and so I scanned it into Phtoshop to experiment with :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_bQBKdyquI/AAAAAAAAAUM/v0ZFEJnjBX4/s320/geopattern.jpg" /></div>This is the outcome ^ but I think it looks much better when its printed out. I might start doing something with the pattern and adding photographs on top of it now..<br />
I need to have it all finished by Tuesday as this is when we start hanging the show! It's gonna be a long weekend...Antoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-68867273568609626602010-05-20T19:14:00.002+01:002010-07-11T21:30:22.946+01:00Studio Photography<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_RP_QMKz1I/AAAAAAAAAUE/OaJ1LUGWDPc/s1600/studio" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S_RP_QMKz1I/AAAAAAAAAUE/OaJ1LUGWDPc/s200/studio" width="149" /></a>I had booked one of the studios at college to take photos of my 3D pieces as I was planning on including them into my FMP (as printed images) but I changed my mind last week and decided to have it as a 3D installation on the wall instead, alongside some more images..<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/antonia333/4621707240/" title="mountains to climb.. by antonia333, on Flickr"><img alt="mountains to climb.." height="342" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3341/4621707240_e80a70e761.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
It's getting really exciting! I am going to have this piece on the wall plus 2 more big images, plus one really small framed typography piece and I'm also working on 2 more mixed media images at the moment.. don't know for sure which ones will be actually included in the exhibition but I'm still going to keep experimenting and try to improve them.<br />

We are painting the boards tomorrow and the hanging of the exhibition is next week so I should try and finish everything over the weekend hopefully :DAntoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-54732605331798192822010-05-13T22:48:00.000+01:002010-05-13T22:48:04.149+01:00Finalizing..<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S-xygsBYJ4I/AAAAAAAAAT8/qRiN8ncyN8c/s1600/Untitled-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_cDdDrVdL24A/S-xygsBYJ4I/AAAAAAAAAT8/qRiN8ncyN8c/s320/Untitled-1.jpg" /></a></div>I'm starting to finalize my ideas and think about the presentation for the exhibition and I'm getting there, slowly but surely.. still have tons of work to do and I spent almost the whole of today making a tiny little framed piece (I was sewing some type onto a sheet of paper..)<br />
It is very exciting but also quite tiring.. I wish I didn't have the extra Photography course to worry about.. need to do some work in my sketchbook for it now but I just want to sleep hahaAntoniyahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15748803110958100919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3626690960478067184.post-30942469973836554712010-05-11T23:01:00.003+01:002011-02-27T22:06:02.498+00:00Memories..Some new stuff I did today..<br />
